Yes. When a traveler has uploaded their passport (via their portal or a form), the Rooming list shows a «🔍 Read passports (AI)» button that reads the image or PDF and fills in the document number, expiry date and birth date. It's a PLATFORM-ADMINS-ONLY feature (sensitive data + AI cost) and it only fills empty fields: it never overwrites data you've already verified by hand.
- 1Make sure travelers have uploaded their passport (documents column in «Participants», or request it with a passport form).
- 2In «Rooming list», if there are passports to read, «🔍 Read passports (AI)» appears with the pending count in brackets.
- 3Click it and confirm. The AI processes each passport that has a file and no document number, one by one, showing progress.
- 4When it finishes, always review the data: reading is very accurate but it's worth checking before working with the supplier.
Consejo: The AI reads both the printed fields and the MRZ zone (the two lines at the foot of the passport) and invents nothing: if a value can't be read confidently, it leaves the field empty. The AI cost is deducted from your agency's monthly budget; if it runs out, reading stops.
