💳 Payments

How do I split a proposal's payment into installments (payment plan)?

On CUSTOM (individual) proposals you can define a payment plan with several installments and due dates. You set it up right where you already work on the price: in the Price block, «Payment plan» tab. At checkout the client pays the DEPOSIT (the «At booking» installment); the rest is tracked in the proposal's «Payments» tab, with automatic reminders and receipts. If the client adds options that «add to the total» (flight upgrade, firm extras), they are NOT charged separately in full: they spread across the plan (% installments grow proportionally, and if they're fixed amounts the surplus goes to the last installment), and the «Payments» tab updates on booking. (On GROUP proposals the plan is defined in the group, not here.)

  1. 1Open the proposal editor and select the Price block. Make sure it has a total (or per-person price).
  2. 2Go to the «Payment plan» tab and click «Split into installments» (it creates a sample deposit + balance).
  3. 3Define each installment: the amount as «% of total», «Fixed amount» or «Remainder», and the due date as «At booking» (the deposit charged at checkout), «Days before departure» or «Exact date».
  4. 4Check the warnings: we flag it if the installments don't add up to the total, if there's more than one «Remainder», if an amount exceeds the total, if a date is already in the past, or if there's no «At booking» installment. Save the proposal.
  5. 5Checkout charges the deposit (the «At booking» installment); track the rest in the proposal's «Payments» tab: send reminders, copy the pay link or mark an installment as paid.

Consejo: The deposit (the «At booking» installment) is always charged first, even if another installment has an earlier date. Without an active gateway (Settings → Payments) the booking is recorded but nothing is charged online: checkout shows the plan (due at booking / pending / total) so the client can pay the deposit by transfer and you track it in «Payments».
